In
Exodus 3:11-15, JAHOWAH God reveals Himself to Moses in a burning
bush.
After
Moses asks JAHOWAH what his NAME is, God reveals his NAME.
Then
God sends Moses to the Israelites with the words:
He
also said to Moses,
Tell
them:
JAHOWAH
has sent me,
the
God of your ancestors,
the
God of Abraham,
the
God of Isaac,
the
God of Jacob
and
this is what He said:
"That's
what I want to be called forever,
and
with THAT NAME I want to be called
by
all future generations."
Exodus
3:15

"...For
from there where the Sun rises
to
there where its going down,
my
NAME shall be great among the Gentiles:
in
every place incense shall
be
offered unto My NAME,
and
a pure
offering;
for
My NAME shall be great among the
nations,";
saith
JHWH of Hosts.
A
part of Malachi 1:11
On the
previous page I already mentioned that the Hebrew name of God is
JHWH.
Unfortunately
is the Holy NAME of the only true God in the most Bibles
translated with LORD.
But LORD is a
title and not a name.
But, how do
you pronounce JHWH, and what is the meaning of the holy name?
Before
continuing about how to pronounce the holy NAME of the creator a
WARNING!
I want to show the third
of the Ten Commandments where it says that nobody may use Gods
NAME unwurthy:
Thou shalt
not abuse the name JHWH of
thy God;
for JHWH will not hold him guiltless that
abuses his name.
Exodus 20
verse 7
JHWH said to
Mozes and the Israelites in the Thora ( = first 5 books of the
Old Testament ):
Who
blasphemeth the name JHWH,
shall
surely be put to death ...
Leviticus
24:16
To begin with I will
insert a picture of the holy NAME in Hebrew.
Painting on
linen - Several techniques.
Hebrew
square writing of the Tetragrammaton.
The above
painting shows God's name in Hebrew writing. Hebrew is written
from right to left, with only consonants.
What you see
here are the consonants J
H W H or Y H W H.
JHWH is the
Tetragrammaton, the way Gods Holy name is written.
Listen, O Israel; JHWH, our
God,
is one JHWH,
And thou shalt love JHWH,
thy God,
with all thy heart,
and with all thy soul,
and with all thy strength.
Deuteronomy 6:4
The JAH in
JAHOWAH is pronounced like the the Jah in
Halleluja / Hallelujah ( which in Herbrew means "praise Jah" ).
The JAH is an
abbriviation of JAHOWAH.
The O in
JAHOWAH should be pronounced as the o in Adhonai ( LORD ), Elohim
( God ) and cola.
Wah ( the last part of JAHOWAH ) is coming from the Hebrew verb "ha-wah", which means become and are.
The A should
be pronounced as the a in Jah.
And those
who know Your NAME, shall trust you:
because
You, JHWH,
will not
forsake those that seek You.

I have a firm confidence,
I don't falter
for Jah Jahowah is my
strength,
He is my protector,
He has brought me
salvation.
